ABB Q2 PAT seen up 123% at Rs 85 crore

ABB is to announce its second quarter results. According to CNBC-TV18's estimates, the company's Q2FY11 has announced its net sales are seen up 21% at Rs 1754 crore versus Rs 1447 crore, year-on-year, YoY.

Its PAT is seen up 123% at Rs 85 crore versus Rs 38 crore.

The company's EBITDA is seen up 1.4x at Rs 120 crore versus Rs 50 crore. (EBITDA does not include 'Other Operational Income')

Its OPM is seen up at 6.85% versus 3.46%.

Increased competition combined with generation delays are likely to result in tepid order inflows

* Started the quarter with an order backlog of Rs 8320 crore

Margin improvement expected due to fewer expected cost provisions

Robust bottom line growth expected on account of low base in Q2FY10

Power systems segment turned around in Q1FY11

Power systems segment is expected to contribute meaningfully to profitability

Most of the losses in the power systems segment due to rural electrification biz have already been provided for
