Give 12 subsidised cylinders: RJD

Raise the cap on subsidised LPG from six to 12 cylinders and rollback the diesel price hike, RJD said today. "We request the Manmohan Singh government to review their decisions on the quota of cylinders and the increase in diesel price. Every family should get at least one cylinder per month, and we hope the central government would listen to our request by increasing the number to 12," RJD Jharkhand unit President Girinath Singh told a press conference in Ranchi.

 "We also request the Arjun Munda-led government to reduce taxes appropriately so that diesel price would come down in Jharkhand too as has been done by Delhi and Goa," Singh added. On the functioning of 51 per cent FDI in the multi-brand retail sector, the former minister said, the Centre should bring out a 'white paper' so that the people would know the benefits following branded foreign retailers coming into the country's market. On JMM Supremo Shibu Soren's assertion that his party and the BJP had struck a power-sharing deal of 28 months, Singh said, "Guruji (as Soren is known) should reveal the details of the deal to enable the people know about it."
