Instanex FII Index up 2.21%

At 3 pm, Indian markets turned stronger, the Instanex FII Index was the best performer, up 2.21% at 321.19 (+0.54% at 2 pm) and the Instanex DII 15 portfolio was up 1.62% (+0.27% at 2 pm). Nifty was up 1.72% (+0.14% at 2 pm) and Sensex was up 1.67% (+0.18% at 2 pm). The other Instanex Ownership Indices were also up – the Instanex Retail 15 portfolio was up 1.38% (-0.08% at 2 pm), the Instanex Top 15 portfolio was up 1.14% (-0.02% at 2 pm) and the Instanex Promoter 15 portfolio was up 0.79% (-0.20% at 2 pm). Asian markets were up as well – Jakarta Composite closed 0.46% higher (+0.49% at 2 pm), SET Composite was down 0.42% (-0.89% at 2 pm) and Straits Times closed 0.91% lower (-0.95% at 2 pm).

Of the 15 components of the Instanex FII Index, 14 were up while only ITC (-0.39%; weight 3.30%) was down. The main gainers were HDFC (+7.77%; weight 14.28%), ICICI Bank (+3.36%; weight 10.16%) and SBI (+3.14%; weight 3.96%) and L&T (+2.15%; weight 4.22%).
