At 1 pm, the Instanex FII Index was the best performer, up 0.49% at 315.78 (+0.52% at 12 noon) and the Instanex DII 15 portfolio was up 0.34% (+0.53% at 12 noon). Sensex was up 0.17% (+0.44% at 12 noon) and Nifty was up 0.13% (+0.43% at 12 noon). The other Instanex Ownership Indices were also up – the Instanex Top 15 portfolio was up 0.14% (+0.48% at 12 noon), the Instanex Promoter 15 portfolio was up 0.07% (+0.60% at 12 noon) and the Instanex Retail 15 portfolio was up 0.03% (+0.22% at 12 noon). Asian markets were mixed – Shanghai Composite closed 0.92% higher (+0.55% at 12 noon), SET Composite was down 0.62% (-0.40% at 11 am) and Straits Times was down 0.89% (-0.75% at 12 noon).
Of the 15 components of the Instanex FII Index eight were up and seven were down. The main gainers were HDFC (+3.31%; weight 13.93%), NTPC (+1.75%; weight 2.29%) and SBI (+1.20%; weight 3.95%) and the main losers were Infosys (-1.78%; weight 11.18%) and ITC (-0.99%; weight 3.34%).
