Instanex FII Index down 2.93%

Speculators seem to continue booking short term losses and FIIs seem to have continue selling, dragging the Indian market lower. At 12 noon, the Instanex FII Index is down 2.93% (-3.22% at 11 am), the Instanex Retail 15 portfolio down 2.84% (-2.98% at 11 am) followed by, Sensex down 2.78% (-3.06% at 11 am), Nifty down 2.32% (-2.69% at 11 am), the Instanex Top 15 portfolio down 2.29% (-2.48% at 11 am), the Instanex DII 15 portfolio down 2.07% (-2.52% at 11 am), indicating some DII buying at lower levels and the Instanex Promoter 15 portfolio down 1.97% (-2.22% at 11 am). Asian markets are down as well - Hang Seng is down 4.34% (-4.18% at 11 am), KOSPI closed 2.93% lower (-2.98% at 11 am) and Nikkei 225 closed 2.83% lower (-3.17% at 11 am).

 

Of the 15 components of the Instanex FII Index, 11 are down and four are up. The main losers are ONGC (-4.71%; weight 4.73%), ICICI Bank (-4.63%; weight 6.80%) and HDFC Bank (-4.61%; weight 5.52%) and the main gainers are Sun Pharma (+2.18%; weight 1.99%) and NTPC (+0.87%; weight 2.91%).
