Hi Sir. Your view on Sun Pharma. I am holding 225 shares @ 610. I have no issue to hold for 2-3 years

Posted By: Gaurav Dua

: with 2-3 year horizon yes you can hold. though i see more pain over next 6-12 months. my present view is negative on pharma as a sector and we have been negative for more than 1 year now

sir i m invested in mirae emerging bluchip 50k and reliance small cap fund 25k and franklin india prima fun 25k canara robeco emerging equty 10k...my time horizon is 5 year and target is 1cr... so sir can i achive my goal or i have to add more in sip ammount ?? pls advice me.

Posted By: Gaurav Dua

: You need to add more in form of SIP to achieve your stiff target. Pls understand equity tends to give high double-digit returns 15-20% over longer period of time. This is more than double the post tax returns from fixed income instruments. So keep your expectations accordingly

WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON IDFC BANK ?

Posted By: Gaurav Dua

: We do not actively track it. But see better prospects in RBL Bank or L&T Finance

Posted By: guest:

Sir I would like to invest 1.5 lakhs on good quality stocks for 3-5 years. I am particularly interested to invest in stocks in the price range of 50-200. Appreciate your advise here.

Posted By: Gaurav Dua

: L&T Finance, Ashok Leyland, Petronet LNG are quality stocks in your prefered price range. would advise you to not stick to any price range and look at other stocks like RBL Bank, TVS Motors, Gabriel

Hello!!! Sir Is it a right time to invest in Jp Associates and Suzlon Energy for next 6 month1 year

Posted By: Gaurav Dua

: It is playing momentum and not investment. These stocks will react to debt restructuring exercise and would remain quiet volatile.

Kindly suggest a portfolio of 10 Stocks to be held for long term providing good dividend income . I wish to hold this portfolio of stocks as a legacy portfolio which will be passed on to my children after me .

Posted By: Gaurav Dua

: Dividend yield of most growth stocks is quite low now and it is the public sector entreprises where you still have decent dividend yields. Given the fact that the investment is planned for children (and not near term gains) would recommend following stocks (to be bought in phased manner over next 12 months): ICICI Bank, SBI, Bharat Electronics, ONGC, Infosys, TCS among others

I am 37 yrs. Currently I am investing in 5000 5000 per month in PPF for my 2 children. Now planing to invest Rs. 5000 month in shares. I have secured children future by investing in low risk low returns in PPF. Also have started a ULIP for Rs.60,000year Now is it wise to invest in different sectors of small cap companies or should I invest equally in all largemedium and small cap ? Purpose is to build wealth. I am not for trading, but keep invested till retirement.

Posted By: Gaurav Dua

: You should have mix of largecap and quality midcaps if investing for long term. preferably 50:50 each

what do you look out for to buy a good share? How do you determine when to buy and when to sell?

Posted By: Gaurav Dua

: Inherent value of any business depends upon its ability to generate free cash flows that business can generate over next 5 to 10 years. If the market price is lower than inherent value than the stock is a buy or vice versa. Lot of other factors also influence fundamental based buy or sell decision.
