UTI Opportunities Fund declares 10% dividend

UTI Mutual Fund has announced dividend of 10% (Rs 1 per unit on Face Value of Rs 10) under dividend option of UTI Opportunities Fund. The record date for declaration of dividend is July 10, 2009. (Check out - Recent MF Dividends)

All investors registered in the dividend plan of the scheme as on July 10, 2009 will receive this dividend. The NAV as on July 6, 2009 under the dividend plan of UTI Opportunities Fund was Rs 12.19.

UTI Opportunities Fund is an open-ended equity oriented scheme. The objective of the scheme seeks to generate capital appreciation and / or income distribution by investing the funds of the scheme in equity shares and equity-related instruments. The focus of the scheme is to capitalise on opportunities arising in the market by responding to the dynamically changing Indian economy by moving its investments amongst different sectors as prevailing trends change.

The last dividend by the scheme was 18% in July 2008. Over the last one year, UTI Opportunities Fund has yielded 21.9% as compared to 4.38% given by its benchmark BSE Sensex as on July 6, 2009.
