UTI MF to launch new schemes after a gap of 5 months

SEBI has allowed UTI Mutual fund to launch new schemes after a period of 5 months. SEBI had banned the AMC to launch any new schemes till it gets a new chief when it failed to generate money for its short-term debt products.

The AMC is now free to launch the five-series of fixed-term income schemes and a Gold fund for which it had already filed with SEBI. However SEBI has issued no communication on whether the AMC could apply for any fresh issue other than which it had filed earlier.

UTI Asset Management had been without Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) for almost a month soon after its CMD moved to SEBI as its Chairman.
