Sundaram BNP Paribas S.M.I.L.E Fund has announced dividend, for which the record date has been fixed as July 31, 2009.

Sundaram BNP Paribas Mutual Fund  has declared a dividend of 20% (Rs 2 per unit on face value of Rs 10) in its open ended equity Scheme - Sundaram BNP Paribas S.M.I.L.E Fund (Small and Medium Indian Leading Equities Fund). The objective of the scheme is to achieve capital appreciation by investing in diversified stocks that are generally termed as “Small and Midcaps” and by investing in other equities. The record date for dividend is July 31, 2009.  All investors registered under the dividend option of the scheme as on July 31, 2009 will receive this dividend. The NAV under the dividend plan of the scheme as on July 24, 2009 was Rs 13.5202.

The last dividend declared by the scheme was 60% in December 2007. Over the last one year, Sundaram BNP Paribas S.M.I.L.E Fund has yielded 13.1% as compared to 2.3% given by its benchmark BSE 500 as on July 24, 2009.
