NAVs surge with the infusion of foreign money in the market

Equity funds continued to march up led by inflow of money from FII in the market. Funds in Large cap and Small cap category excelled registering very few losers. All the other funds too showed faith in the market and delivered positive returns.

In the sectoral space, Banking & Finance, Pharma & Healthcare and Technology followed markets positive cue witnessing no decline while FMCG ended mixed.

After such a one way rally, experts are however cautious on the market and expect to see serious correction in the near-term. The BSE benchmark rose 123.43 points or 0.7%, to close at 17,830.75 and the NSE benchmark gained 44.20 points at 5,412.35.

In the debt market, Long term continue to exhibit stumbling performance where funds ended with negative returns with the advance: decline ratio recorded for Long term and Gilt long term were 28: 43 and 9: 8 respectively. Meanwhile Short term category advanced with the ratio of 57: 9, 66:0 and 9: 8 for Short term, Ultra Short term and Gilt Short term. (Click here to know more on Debt funds)
