NAVs surged led positive market rally

The market soared high in previous trading session led by highest monthly inflow of foreign money since November 2010. Large cap and Mid cap Index uplifted market's sentiment by rising over 1.16%. None of the funds in any equity category posted any decline and ended on a green zone.

The sector funds too were on buyer's radar leading to all the funds rising and ending with positive returns.

The uptick in the market was caused by various factors, the prominent ones being appreciation in rupee, value buying by institutional investors, rate cut hopes, eurozone progress, better US economic data and Fed's decision to keep rates near zero till the 2014.
The Sensex rose 330.25 points or 1.96%, to close at 17,193.55 and the Nifty moved up 111.95 points or 2.20%, to end at 5,199.25.

In the debt market space, the possible rate cut by RBI in its next policy review meeting boosted overall debt market. All the funds offering fixed and floating rate of interest in Short term and Long term category advanced with no decline seen in either category.
