Equity funds on Monday trading session closed with negative returns led by weak global cues and profit booking after stellar performance in the last four weeks. All the funds in Equity, Sectoral and Balanced witnessed no gainer and ended in red zone. The BSE benchmark fell 370.68 points or 2.15%, to close at 16,863.30. Meanwhile, the NSE benchmark too ended below the 5100 mark, which dropped 117.40 points or 2.26% to 5,087.30. In the debt space, Long term and short term debt funds exhibited good show with all the funds ending in green. No declines were registered in any of the category.
