NAVs ends higher led by positive market rally

It was a wild Wednesday! The equity funds cheered as Benchmark index- Sensex rose by over 353 point led by inflow of foreign money and falling inflation and hopes for rate cuts by RBI. The boarder indices Large cap and Small & Mid cap surge by over1.3% each. None of the funds in any equity category registered any losers thus all ending in green.

As the markets closed surged, all sectoral funds too registered positive returns with decline in any category.

Foreign money played a key role in the current year. The Sensex rose 353.84 points or 1.98%, to close at 18,202.41 and the Nifty gained 114 points or 2.1%, to end at 5,531.95.

In the debt space, the hopes of interest rate cut bolstered performance of debt funds. Both Long term and Short term debt funds advanced registering few losers in either category. (Click here to know more on Debt funds)
