NAVs end with negative returns

Equity diversified NAVs ended lower with advance:decline ratio of 27:215, as the benchmark Nifty closed marginally lower on Tuesday. Financial and auto companies' shares along with Reliance Industries, Infosys, Reliance Communications, HUL and Cipla witnessed selling pressure while realty companies' shares and stocks like Wipro, Sterlite Industries, L&T, NTPC and ABB have gained.

The 30-share BSE Sensex closed at 17,878.14, down 50.28 points and the 50-share NSE Nifty fell 18.45 points to 5,368.

NAVs end with negative returns

All sectoral funds declined.

Long term debt funds also ended with negative returns while short term debt funds with positive returns; their advance:decline ratio stood at 17:55 and 64:31, respectively.
