NAVs end mixed as market ended lower

After exhibiting stellar performance, market took a breather and ended low. Equity funds closed with mixed performance. In the broader indices space, the advance: decline ratio recorded for Large cap was 35: 36 while Small cap closed with positive returns with the ratio of 37: 6. Among others, Equity Diversified, ELSS and Balanced funds ended with the ratio of 53: 33, 27: 18 and 11:8 respectively.

The sector space saw some positive streak with majority of funds ending in green. Pharma & Healthcare and Technology funds were among the greatest gainers with no losers' registered while a few were recorded for Banking & Finance and FMCG.

 
The Sensex was down 48.42 points or 0.27% at 18153.99, and the Nifty was down 10 points or 0.18% at 5521.95.
