NAVs end flat led by dull market session

Equity funds ends flat led by dull market performance. The market is keenly waiting for inflation data for May that will be announced today. The session ended with BSE rising 17.71 points, to close at 16,880.51 and the NSE gaining 5.55 points to 5,121.45.

Equity funds ends flat led by dull market performance. In the broader market, Large Cap delivered good performance with the advance: decline ratio of 60: 18 while Small & Mid Cap ends on a flat note with the ratio of 20: 24. All other Equity funds managed to end with mixed but positive returns. The Balanced funds ended with positive returns with the advance: decline ratio of 16: 6.


Among sectoral funds, defensive sector FMCG yet again delivered good performance with no losers while Pharma & Healthcare ended in a red zone. The Banking & Finance funds maintained its bullish outlook on the hopes of rate cut by RBI. Meanwhile Technology funds also exhibited decent returns registering very few decline.


The Benchmarks closed flat on Wednesday as market is keenly waiting for inflation data for May that will be announced today. The session ended with BSE rising 17.71 points, to close at 16,880.51 and the NSE gaining 5.55 points to 5,121.45.


In the debt space, both Long term and Short term categories continued to deliver good performance recording few decline. The experts are of the opinion that the inflation data will determine the performance of the debt categories. The bullish undertone may continue if inflation is below 7.50%. A 25 bps cut in policy rates and 50 bps CRR cut has been priced in.
