NAVs end flat as markets turn cautious on F&O expiry

Equity Mutual funds ends mixed but positive returns following flat performance by Indian market led by F&O expiry. The market closed marginally higher with NSE gaining 7.25 points to close at 5,149.15 while the BSE benchmark gained 23 points at 16,990.76.

Equity Mutual funds end mixed but positive returns following flat performance by Indian market led by F&O expiry. In the broader indices space, Large Cap funds outpaced its counterpart Small & Mid cap by registering advance: decline ratio of 54: 21 against 22: 20. Equity diversified ends flat with the ratio of 53 :40 while ELSS and Balanced registers positive returns with the ratio of 38: 12 and 14: 8 respectively.


Among the sectors, FMCG and Technology funds saw surge while Banking & Finance and Pharma & Healthcare closed flat.


The market closed marginally higher with NSE gaining 7.25 points to close at 5,149.15 while the BSE benchmark gained 23 points at 16,990.76.


The debt market continues to be under pressure due to absence of OMO and rising crude oil price. In the Long term space, Long Term funds saw some recovery while Gilt long term closed on negative bias. Short term funds maintained its good performance with no decline.
