NAVs decline as markets closed in a negative terrain

In the sector space, only funds belonging to defensive sectors - Pharma & Healthcare and FMCG advanced. All other sector categories witnessed downfall.

The 30-share BSE benchmark closed at 7,783.21 down 67.01 points while Nifty fell 28.65 points to close at 5,386.70.

On the debt front, the Gilt funds delivered good performance in spite of been under pressure on account of inflation worries and global oil prices. All the funds in Long and Short term category were seen in green with very few decline in the last trading session.
