NAVs advanced as market ends higher

The market retained its up move showing a strong follow-up to the January rally. Large cap , Small and Mid cap and Equity diversified witnessed few losers while no losers were seen in ELSS, Index and Balanced fund categories.

The sectoral funds were also quite supportive and ended in green. Pharma & Healthcare, Banking & Finance and FMCG ended with no decline while a few were registered in Technology category.

Equity benchmarks closed at nearly two-month high. The Sensex rose 107.03 points, to close at 17,300.58 while Nifty was up by 36.45 points to 5,235.70. Experts however are skeptical of uptrend and expect correction in near time as the market rallied more than 11% in January.

In the debt market, all the funds in Long term and Short term category offering fixed and floating rate of interest continue to exhibit strong rally and registered no loser.
