Mirae MF introduces various facilities for its investors

Mirae Asset Global Investments (India) Pvt. Ltd. has introduced three new facilities to further enhance the transaction related experience of its investors. In addition, these features will enable investors to calibrate their investments in sync with market movements thereby seeking to optimize returns on their portfolio.

The three facilities introduced are

  • Mirae Asset Variable Transfer Plan
  • Mirae Asset Trigger Plan
  • Mirae Asset Group Investment Plan

Commenting on the introduction of the new facilities, Mr. Arindam Ghosh, CEO, Mirae Asset Global Investments (I) Pvt. Ltd. said "We are glad to introduce these new facilities to our investors that will not only enhance their investment experience but also provide them an opportunity to calibrate their investments in a dynamic market scenario."

Summary of Facilities introduced:

1. Mirae Asset Variable Transfer Plan (VTP)

VTP is a facility wherein unit holders of designated open-ended schemes can opt to transfer a variable amount linked to value of investments. The funds will be transferred on a predefined date from a designated open-ended scheme(s) of Mirae Asset Mutual Fund to select open-ended equity Scheme(s) of the fund house.

VTP automatically chooses between investing a fixed amount of installment OR a variable amount (based on formula that takes into account the market value of investments) on the transfer dates whichever is higher, thereby ensuring that more money is invested when markets are at attractive levels and vice versa.

Benefits to investors:

  • Choose your investment frequency :Daily, Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly, Quarterly
  • Invest more when the markets are down - Accelerated investments on the date of transfer in the chosen equity oriented fund when markets are at lower levels.

2. Mirae Asset Trigger plan (TRIP)

TRIP is a facility provided to Unit holders to set triggers based on the closing index level of the BSE Sensex. Under TRIP, investors can transfer specific percentage of funds from select Mirae Asset Mutual Fund select liquid/debt schemes to select equity schemes on the trigger dates.

This facility enables investors to calibrate their equity investing based on their individual comfort level with market movements.  For example, while under normal STP (4 transfers opted for), 25% funds would be transferred on every transfer occasion to equity, in case of TRIP; you could choose the percentage as 15% if BSE Sensex is at 19000 and 35% when BSE Sensex falls to 15000 and so on.

Benefits to investors:

  • Ensures your investments are made at targeted levels. The facility enables automatic decision making at levels with which you are comfortable.
  • You can take advantage of market movements without the hassle of constant tracking
  • Initial investments in Liquid/Debt Schemes facilitate earning income till investments are transferred to equity funds.

3. Mirae Asset Group Investment Plan (GRIP)

GRIP allows employers to make investments for their employees by investing into select open-ended equity schemes of Mirae Asset Mutual Fund.  Under this facility, the employee authorizes the organization to deduct the SIP amount towards Mirae Asset Group Investment Plan from his salary every month and remit it to Mirae Asset Mutual Fund.
The investor can modify the amount for future GRIP deductions or discontinue future GRIP deductions at any time by filling a simple form.

Benefits to investors:

  • Salaried individuals can avail of direct deduction of a specified amount from their salary towards equity investing
  • Companies can participate in promoting long term equity investing among their employees thereby helping them achieve their financial goals.
