Escorts Mutual launches Infrastructure Fund

Escorts Mutual Fund has launched a 5 years close ended fund called Escorts Infrastructure Fund. This fund would automatically be converted into an open ended fund after the expiry of 5 years from the date of allotment. The investment objective of the Scheme is to provide income distribution and / or medium to long term capital gains by investing predominantly in equity/equity related  instruments of the companies in the infrastructure sector.

The New Fund Offer is open for subscription from July 26, 2007 and will close on August 24, 2007. The Scheme reopens for continous repurchase after 90days of declaration of NAV. (View - New Fund Offers open NOW)

The scheme will invest 65-100% of the portfolio allocation in equity and equity related instruments of the companies in the infrastructure sector and 0-35% in debt instruments, Government bonds and money market securities.  The performance of the scheme will be benchmarked with S&P CNX Nifty.
