Govt may hike indirect taxes to pre-crisis: BNP Paribas

The government may hike some of the indirect taxes to the pre-global financial crisis levels, feels Anand Shah, Chief Investment Officer, BNP Paribas Mutual Fund. The government will not raise direct taxes as it will further stunt economic growth, and the key to higher revenues is a healthy GDP growth rate, he says in an interview to Moneycontrol.com
