A study of all the bulk deals by mutual funds on the BSE and the NSE in the month of October shows that HEG, Aditya Birla Nuvo and Gwalior Chemical were the top buys, while TV Today Network, Cyber Media and NDTV topped the sell list. (Check out - Bulk Deals by MFs in October)
HSBC Global Investment Fund purchased over 5.99 lakh shares of Aditya Birla Nuvo at Rs 875.5 per share on the BSE. Major bulk deal also happened in Gwalior Chemical, wherein Pudential ICICI Mutual Fund bought over 3.69 lakh and 1.5 lakh shares at Rs 92.6 and 93.31 per share on the NSE and BSE, respectively. Meanwhile, over 2.39 lakh shares of the stock was sold by Principal Resurgent India Fund. The fund houses also purchased other stocks in bulk like Heritage Funds, Ciba Special and Global Vectra.
Major selling was also witnessed in Cyber Media and NDTV by Fidelity Mutual Fund and Templeton Mutual Fund over 4.95 lakh shares were sold at Rs 89.69 and 4.33 lakh shares at Rs 222.32, respectively on the NSE. CMC, Oudh Sugar and OCL India were the other stocks, which saw bulk sale in the October month. For more Mutual Fund Action in Market click here
