SBI Magnum Multicap Fund has increased its exposure to metal & mining and manufacturing while, pared its investment in Media & entertainment and auto.(View - What SBI Magnum Multicap Fund is buying/selling?)

The study of scheme for the month of June reveals that in the metal sector, it has bought Hindalco and Jindal Saw. It sold Raymonds and Welspun India in manufacturing pack, but purchased Alok Industries.

In media & entertainment sector, it sold Wire & Wireless, Dish TV and Zee Entertainment and in auto pack, it sold Maruti Udyog and Mahindra & Mahindra.

SBI Magnum Multicap Fund, Thermax, Lupin and Crompton Greaves were the top stocks held by the scheme in June. Engineering (16.94%), Cement (14.50%) and Pharma (10.40%) were the top invested sectors in the scheme's portfolio. (Check out - Top stocks held by SBI Magnum Multicap Fund).

The equity exposure of scheme has decreased slightly from 93.88% to 93.81%. The total assets managed by the scheme were of Rs 1065.78 crore as on June 30, 2007.

Over the last one-year, SBI Magnum Multicap Fund has yielded 33% returns as against 44.41% yielded by its benchmark BSE 100 as on July 5, 2007.
