Reliance MF buys Ashok Leyland, HLL, Tata Steel
Reliance Mutual Fund has augmented its exposure in auto, engineering, technology, metals and oil & gas stocks. Ashok Leyland, Hindustan Lever, Tata Steel were the top buys, while Gujarat Ambuja, IDFC, and Tata Motors were the top sells.
Reliance Mutual Fund has increased its exposure to auto, engineering, technology, metals and oil & gas stocks. On other hand fund house slashed its weightage to bank, cement, chemical, media and pharma pack. It realigned stocks in FMCG sector. (View - All Bulk Deals by Mutual Funds)
A study of equity portfolios of Reliance Mutual Fund for October shows that fund has bought over 74 lakh shares of Ashok Leyland. Apollo Tyres and Eicher Motors were also in bought list. However, Maruti, and Mahindra Forgings were sold in the auto pack.
In engineering sector, it bought Alstom Project, Siemens and Cummins India and sold Manugraph Industries and Crompton Greaves. It also increased its holding in technology stock where it bought Mphasis BFL, NIIT and Infosys but sold Tech Mahindra and Hinduja TMT.
In the metal pack, nearly 20 lakh shares of Tata Steel were purchased. However, it sold JSW Steel, Jindal Saw and Hind Zinc. Fund house has bought Shiv Vani Oil & Gas, HPCL and BPCL in oil & gas sector.
Fund reduced its weightage to bank, cement, chemical, media and pharma pack. It sold nearly 25 lakh shares of banking pivotal IDFC. It also sold Bank of Maharastra and Bank Of Baroda but bought Indian Overseas Bank. Cement stocks Gujarat Ambuja Cements and India Cements witnessed selling.
In pharma pack, it sold Wockhardt Healthcare, Cadila Healthcare and Dishman Pharma. Over 10 lakh shares each of Tata Chemicals and Zee Telefilims were sold.
In FMCG sector, it bought over 45 lakh shares of HLL, but sold ITC and Rajshree Sugars.
Ashok Leyland, Hindustan Lever, Tata Steel were the top buys, while Gujarat Ambuja Cements, IDFC and Tata Motors were the top sells.
