ITC, JP Associates, Indiabulls Real top buys: SBI MF

SBI Mutual Fund has reduced exposure to Engineering & Capital Goods, Metals & Mining and Information Technology sectors while increased to Tobacco, Utilities and Conglomerate sectors. ITC, Jaiprakash Associates and Indiabulls Real Estate were top buys while Bajaj Auto Finance, HPCL and Hindustan Unilever were top sells.

A study of the equity portfolios managed by the SBI Mutual Fund as on November 30, shows that in the Engineering & Capital Goods sector, it has sold shares of Thermax, Crompton Greaves, Punj Lloyd and L&T.

Selling was also seen in Metals & Mining segment, wherein it offloaded Tata Steel, Welsput Gujarat, GMDC and SAIL. (View - All Bulk Deals by Mutual Funds)

In the Information Technology pack, it has pared exposure to Infosys Technologies, Satyam and Infotech Enterprises. However, it bought some shares of TCS.

In the Tobacco space, it has bought 6.8 lakh shares of ITC.

The fund house also increased exposure to Utilities segment. It purchased shares of Tata Power Company, NTPC, Reliance Power and CESC. (Check out - Which sectors are attracting Fund Managers?)

Reliance Mutual Fund has raised its investment in Conglomerate pack, as it bought Sintex India and Grasim Industries. However, it sold Century Textiles.
