Here are experts equity calls for the day on how the markets are expected to trade:

Neelkanth Mishra, Credit Suisse: In an environment where the government continues to crowd out private investment and inflation and interest rates are high, we stay underweight on investment led themes like industrials, financials and materials. Sustained high interest rates should also keep real estate demand weak and companies with high financial leverage are also unlikely to get any relief.

Eric Fishwick, CLSA: Europe has taken some useful steps towards Federalism and breaking the vicious circle between banks and sovereigns. However, no new money is available and a lasting solution is still missing as, for markets to have faith in the Euro's future, national limits on savings and investment will have to be reapplied.
