Mood in the dealing room is to wait and watch. There has been periodic buys from the domestic funds especially domestic insurance companies and the mutual funds. Mutual funds have recently raised lot of money through NFOs. They have been doing selective buying in selective sectors.Overall on the FII side, the buy/sell ratio is at 1:3.
There has been some sort of selling pressure which has been intensified by both domestic and institutional investors. Domestic fund flows mixed and there is no sign of recovery as buy trades at limit orders. All eyes on how European markets open. No margin calls seen at domestic brokerages and volumes on the lower side. There is no panic or forceful selling but it is a wait and watch situation.
