It's been an interesting week for the markets. On the back of it, there is the expiry of the June series coming in this Thursday. It's a heavy series with Rs 70,000 crore plus. Also, Spice opens this morning but there isn't a whole lot by way of global cues either. It seems like a slightly tepid session from the US markets too.

Markets are likely to see some profit booking ahead of the expiry.

Asian markets have opened lower. US stocks plunged on Friday on mortgage concerns.
