NYSE stops trading of Satyam stock with immediate effect
On Wednesday, prior to the opening of the market, the New York Stock Exchange halted trading in the of Satyam Computer Services, the NYSE said in a statement.
On Wednesday, prior to the opening of the market, the New York Stock Exchange halted trading of Satyam Computer Services .
"The NYSE regulation is currently evaluating news relating to Satyam and will continue to closely monitor further developments. Trading was halted prior to the opening of the market. The security will remain halted until further notice," the exchange's regulation office said in its statement.
Prior to NYSE statement, the National Stock Exchange (NSE) said it will remove Satyam Computer Services from the Nifty Index with effect from January 12, 2008. The stock will be replaced by Reliance Capital.
