BSE removes Satyam Computer from F&O segment

The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) has decided to exclude the scrip of Satyam, due to the recent developments in M/s. Satyam Computers Services Limited, from the Futures & Options segment, w.e.f. the day following the expiry of the January contracts, i.e. w.e.f. January 30, 2009 onwards, as per information stated on BSE website.

All existing contracts i.e. contracts with expiry dates February 26, 2009 and March 26, 2009 will expire on January 29, 2009. Also, no fresh month contracts for the expiry month April 2009 will be introduced on the expiration of January 2009 contracts.

Thus, no futures and options contracts will be available for trading in the underlying Satyam Computers Services Limited from January 30, 2009 onwards.

The security shall however, continue to be available for trading in the Equity segment.
