With markets on a roller coaster, experts advise caution and tell investors to be wary of large cap stocks.

 

But the sector they are the most bearish on at this moment is the technology sector as this sector will be highly volatile and news-driven on the eve of the earnings season.

 

One should keep a track on FII figures and see that the numbers remain positive because on the back of them local investors and speculators are placing their bet, they said.

 

Vijay Bhambwani, Technical Analyst: Technology space to be highly volatile

 

I would look cautiously at the technology sector, as it will be highly volatile and news-driven just on the eve of earnings season. As far as winners are concerned, power and pharmaceuticals sector would be clear winners in the days to come. Investors can put in fresh money in these two sectors.

 

In the power sector investors can go with NTPC and Tata Power in the short-term that is one month. Tata Power can touch Rs 630 and NTPC can hit Rs 145 in the next 30 days. In the pharma sector Dr Reddy's look set for a good run.

 

Strategy: Long-term investors can remain buyers on decline, as the long-term outlook for the market is still positive.
