The markets saw biggest weekly gain since week ended May 24, 2009. The Sensex, Nifty and Nifty Junior ended 9% higher each.
Among the broader indices, CNX Midcap Index was up 6% and the BSE Small Cap Index gained 8.4%. All BSE Sectoral Indices ended above 5%.

In the largecaps, HCL Tech shot up 22.5%; DLF up 20% and Reliance Capital up 17.5%.
The BSE Bank Index was up 11%, as ICICI Bank gained 18.5%. Axis Bank and HDFC Bank rose 15% each. PNB went up 12.5%.
In the auto space, Tata Motors surged 17%. Hero Honda and M&M were up 12.5% each. The Auto Index was up 11%.
The BSE Metal Index shot up 10%, as Hindalco was up 16.5%, Tata Steel up 11% and SAIL up 10%.
Among the Midcap technology stocks, Sasken Communication surged 36%; Hexaware Tech up 30%, Infotech Enterprises up 28% and Polaris up 25%.
In the midcap space, Reliance Industrial Infrastructure, Bhushan Steel and Aban Offshore gained 27-30%. Indiabulls Real Estate, Adlabs and TVS Motors went up 22-25%.
