Nifty trading higher; Infy, SBI, ICICI Bank, TCS lead

At 15.03 hrs IST, Nifty was trading higher with one percentage gain. Good buying interest was seen in IT, FMCG, banks and realty stocks. However, some selling pressure was seen in capital goods, Oil & Gas, & metal stocks. The BSE Midcap & Smallcap Index was up 0.46% & 0.745% respectively.

The Sensex was up 143.22 points or 0.94% at 15316.68, and the Nifty up 48.00 points or 1.06% at 4561.50.

About 1518 shares advanced, 1247 shares declined, and 405 shares were unchanged.

Top gainers on the Sensex were TCS at Rs 531.60 up 6.36%, HUL at Rs 284 up 5.95%, Wipro at Rs 493.20 up 5.68%, HDFC at Rs 2,460 up 4.11% and SBI at Rs 1,721.70 up 3.94%.

Top gainers on the BSE Midcap - Patni Computer, Nava Bharat Ven, Amtek Auto, Torrent Pharma and Nirma were up 6-13%.

Top gainers on the BSE Smallcap - Taj GVK Hotels, Finolex Cables, ISMT, Sulzer and Honeywell Automation.
