The initial public offering of Vodafone, one of India's largest telecom operators, is likely to be delayed further on account of uncertain global macro conditions, reports CNBC-TV18's Kritika Saxena quoting sources.
The comapny had earlier indicated a timeline of February 2012 for the issue. But now sources claimed that bankers have apprised of a new timeline. They believe the markets are expected to remain unstable untill February 2012 and global macro conditions too are uncertain at present.
Vodafone will review the situation again by the beginning of next year, according to sources, but the company said could not comment on speculations.
Earlier sources had said that the company would be planning dilution of over 10% stake through the IPO.
