Katha Mediatix India plans IPO

Katha Mediatix India, an outdoor media advertising company located at Mumbai, has filed draft red herring prospectus with market regulator SEBI for its public issue of 40 lakh equity shares. The company proposes to dilute 26.27% equity through the issue.

Recently it ventured into new verticals such as advertising, brand consulting, public relation consulting, infilm branding, corporate gifting, event's, below the line solutions, film production, electronic content development and distribution.

Company proposes to use IPO funds for setting up of corporate office (with the cost of Rs 9.76 crore); purchasing system and software (with an outlay of Rs 4.04 crore); acquisition and other strategic initiatives (with Rs 30 crore); and long term working capital (Rs 15 crore).

For the quarter ended June 30, 2011, it reported a profit after tax of Rs 3.42 crore on total income of Rs 34.03 crore. For the year ended March 31, 2011 - the company posted a profit of Rs 8.04 crore on total income of Rs 83.40 crore.

Stellant Capital Advisory Services (P) Limited is the book running lead manager to the issue.
