Wall Street ends higher; Dow gains 150 points
Wall Street staged a powerful surge on optimism that help was on the way for Greece to deal with its heavy debt burden. At closing bell, the Dow closed well above the 10,000 mark, up over 150 points. The Nasdaq & the S&P 500 also surged over a percent each.

The greenback's pullback as the euro rallied amid speculation of Greece bailout also supported equities.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 150.25 points, or 1.5%, to 10,058.64. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 Index gained 13.78 points, or 1.3, to 1,070.52, the Nasdaq Composite Index gained 24.82 points, or 1.2%, to 2,150.87.
As we mentioned, the dollar dropped on speculation that Greece could receive help from Germany as this news gave the euro strength. The dollar index fell 0.7% & slipped below the 80 mark.
Crude rose the most in a week as the dollar weakened. Oil prices gained 2.6% as the dollar tumbled the most since November, increasing the appeal of commodities as an alternative investment.
Gold too gained on the dollar's weakness and climbed over a percent.
Base metals stormed higher setting fresh intra-day highs in after-market trading as the dollar crumbled against a resurgent euro.
