US markets closed slightly higher led by financial companies as Wall Street welcomed news that house-senate negotiators had reached agreement on a $ 789 billion economic stimulus package that would mix tax cuts and new government spending to rescue the faltering economy. At closing bell, Dow Jones ended up 0.6%, Nasdaq ends up 0.3% while S&P 500 ended up 0.8%. Indian ADRs ended mostly mixed on Wednesday. In Telecom space, MTNL was down 4.07% at $ 2.83 and Tata Communication was down 0.17% at $ 17.48. In IT space, Wipro was down 1.48% at $ 6.67, Infosys was down 0.44% at $ 26.99, Patni Computers was down 3.33% at $ 5.80. However, Satyam Computers was surprisingly up 16.23% at $ 1.79. In other sectors, Tata Motors was down 3.64% at $ 3.71, Dr Reddy's Labs was down 1.09% at $ 9.11 and Sterlite Industries was down 0.18% at $ 5.45. Banking sector was the lone gainer on Wednesday. In this, HDFC Bank was up 3.78% at $ 60.43 and ICICI Bank was up 3.92% at $ 17.75. A look at how the Indian ADRs performed:
