Wockhardt gets US nod for Alzheimer`s drug

Indian drug maker Wockhardt Ltd said on Wednesday the US Food and Drug Administration tentatively approved the sale of its generic memantine HCL, which is used to treat Alzheimer's and dementia.

The approval is for 5-milligram and 10-mg tablets of the drug, which is the generic version of Forest Laboratories' Namenda.
