Suzlon adds 48 lakh shares in OI

Suzlon Energy added about 48 lakh shares in open interest, Unitech from the real estate space added about 48 lakh shares; this comes on a back of a large build-up on Friday also.

The turnover is highest since September 2008 and the F&O space clocked about 62,000 crore which is almost 47% jump from what we saw on Friday so huge amount of participation coming in. March futures discount shortened to between zero and five points so possibly some short covering is also helping the market today.
The put call ratio went up to 1.74 mainly because 2,900 puts added about 25 lakh shares in open interest and even the 2,800-2,850 puts added about 7 lakh shares in open interest each and at a lower level 2,800 calls have cut about 14 lakh shares. So trading has been shifting from lower levels strikes to 2,800-2,900 in trade today.
Some of the individual stocks like HCL Technologies, Reliance Petroleum Ltd, Idea Cellular have seen decent amount of rollover in trade today between 50-55%.
Among individual stocks Idea stands out and added nearly 51 lakh shares in open interest in the April series and the stock has surged about 7%.
Lots of other stocks are up between 5-10% for e.g.  Suzlon Energy added about 48 lakh shares in open interest, Unitech from the real estate space added about 48 lakh shares; this comes on a back of a large build-up on Friday also.
ITC the heavyweight from the FMCG space added about 38 lakh shares so huge build-up on the open interest base of that stock.
Reliance Capital was a stock to watch out for, it surged nearly 16% in a spot market and added about 10 lakh shares in the April series and Ranbaxy after the news of the Ponta Sahib plant surged about 11%, added about 12 lakh shares in the open interest.
There is one stock which stood out in day today DLF; it ended about 4% and added about 45 lakh shares in open interest in the April series.
