Nifty Open Interest PCR rises further to 1.67 vs 1.61

FIIs were net buyers to the tune of Rs 1171 crore in Nifty options. The Nifty March futures ended at 8-point premium and April at 10-point premium.

The Nifty Open Interest PCR increased further to 1.67 versus 1.61. Nifty Implied volatility was down further to below 18%.

The Nifty March 5200 Put added 13 lakh shares in Open Interest. Stock futures add 3 crore shares in Open Interest.

Nifty 5200 Put was trading at premium of Rs 24.70, which was down by Rs 5.50. Total Open Interest was at 72 lakh shares.

Fresh long positions were seen Apollo Tyres and Welspun Gujarat. Apollo Tyres gained 5.5% and its futures Open Interest was up 35%. Welspun Gujarat rose 4.5% and its futures Open Interest was up 7%; the company has bought 75% stake in MSK Projects.

Long accumulation was seen in Yes Bank. The stock gained 1.5% and its futures Open Interest was up 32%.

Idea Cellular rallied 4.7% and its futures Open Interest was down 9%. Its delivered volume increased to 44 lakh shares as against average 10 lakh shares.
