There were expiry day jitters clearly in the market today-the F&O turnover was at an all-time high that we have seen in our markets, reports CNBC-TV18's Anuj Singhal. Nifty rollovers were high at 70% and market-wide rollover at 75%. But the stat that stood out was Nifty December Futures premium, or rather now discount because we started with premium of 17 points and we ended with a bit of a discount. Quite a bit of unwinding at 5,100 put and we saw some bit of build up also at 5,100 call.

As far as individual stocks go you saw fresh shorts in banking stocks. ICICI Bank , SBI , some smaller banks also saw some short positions. Some long rollovers in cement stocks-in fact cement was the only sector which managed to hold on in today's trade. Some short rollover in real estate stocks. Real estate has been the weakest sector of the last series and it starts the next series as the weakest sector.

One stock that stood out was IFCI where we saw some long positions and let us see how it pans out in tomorrow's trade.
