FIIs were net buyers to the tune of Rs 1,315 crore in Nifty futures, which ended with 6 points discount versus 5 points premium.
The Nifty Open Interest PCR (put-call ratio) stood at 1.26 versus 1.24. Nifty 4600 and 4700 Puts added 9 lakh shares in OI (open interest). Stock futures shed 2 crore shares in OI.
Suzlon has seen a 2-day relief rally of 20%. The stock was up 6% on Friday and its futures Open Interest was down 14%.
Fresh short positions were seen in Idea Cellular and Tata Power; their cost of carry (CoC) was also down. Idea fell 5.6% and its futures Open Interest was up 10%. Tata Power declined 4% and its futures Open Interest was up 28%.
Fresh long positions were seen in Ashok Leyland and Polaris; their CoC was also up. Ashok Leyland gained 4% and its futures Open Interest was up 43%. Polaris jumped 6% and its futures Open Interest was up 34%.
