WB to impose 12.5% VAT on tobacco products

West Bengal will impose 12.5% VAT on all tobacco products.The bill to remove tobacco from declared goods has been referred to the standing committee reports CNBC-TV18.

It will raise stamp duty on property sales above Rs 25 lakhs by 1% to 7%.

VAT on auto components will be cut from 12.5% To 4% and on industrial goods from 12.5% To 4%.
