Shome committee to submit 2nd GAAR draft to MoEF

The Parthasarthy Shome-led committee is likely to submit the second draft guidelines on GAAR and the Section 9 retrospective amendment to the finance ministry today.

The Parthasarthy Shome-led committee is likely to submit the second draft guidelines on GAAR and the Section 9 retrospective amendment to the finance ministry today, reports CNBC-TV18.


However, they are unlikely to be made public today since the finance ministry will examine these before stakeholder consultations. The guidelines will define the threshold of indirect transfer, which will determine taxability of transactions on stock exchanges
