Petroleum Secretary M S Srnivasan said there could be a rise in petroleum prices soon after the Group of Ministers' meet on January 17, reports CNBC-TV18. The shortage of exploration rigs will be sorted out in the next three years, he said.

 

According to Srinivasan, rules for NELP-VII have been relaxed. "Technical qualification is only a threshold criteria now."
