Food price index up 16.30% YoY as on March 6: Govt
India's food price index rose 16.30%in the 12 months to March 6, while the fuel index was up 12.68 percent, government data showed on Thursday.

The rise in the food price index was lower than an annual rise of 17.81% in the previous week.
The primary articles index was up 14.16%on the year on March 6.
India's wholesale price inflation (WPI) leapt to 9.89%in February and the finance minister has said it could hit double-digits in March.
