Decks have been cleared for 26% foreign direct investment (FDI) in FM radio, reports CNBC-TV18, quoting sources. The 26% FDI is to be part of the FM Broadcasting Policy.

The Committee of Secretaries (CoS), headed by the Cabinet Secretary, has decided to hike FDI in FM radio on July 2. The CoS decision comes two days after the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) suggested 26% FDI. The current foreign investment limit in FM radio stands at 20%.
