The US Federal Reserve kept the benchmark interest rate unchanged at 5.25% and stressed in new language that inflation is the greatest risk that the economy is facing.
The US Federal Reserve kept the benchmark interest rate unchanged at 5.25% and stressed in new language that inflation is the greatest risk that the economy is facing.
The FOMC's predominant policy concern continues to be the risk that inflation will fail to moderate as expected.
The Fed also repeated its warning that a tight job market may sustain price pressures.
Turning to growth prospects, the Fed said the economy is likely to continue to expand at a moderate pace over coming quarters.
