Direct tax receipts seen up 10% on yr: Source

Direct tax receipts are seen growing around 10% year-on-year and touched Rs 3.58 trillion (USD 78.7 billion) on March 19, a finance ministry source, who did not wish to be named, told Reuters on Monday.

He said the revised estimate for direct tax receipts for 2009/10 was Rs 3.87 trillion.

Income tax receipts were at Rs 1.21 trillion and corporate tax receipts stood at Rs 2.47 trillion on March 19, he said.
